Directed by and adapted for film from her own eponymous play, Is God Is marks the feature debut for award-winning playwright Aleshea Harris. Twin sisters Racine (Kara Young) and Anaia (Mallori Johnson) are ordered by their bedridden mother (Vivica A. Fox) to kill their abusive father (Sterling K. Brown) who left them all for dead after setting them on fire when they were children. Adhering to their mother’s request, the sisters set off on an epic quest for revenge deciding on the way if they’ll choose vengeance or forgiveness.
