18-year-old Jess (Parminder Nagra) dreams of becoming a professional footballer like her idol David Beckham but her parents would rather she focus solely on academic pursuits. When Jess catches the attention of Jules (Keira Knightley) while playing at the park, Jules invites her to join the local women’s team that she also plays on.
