Our Hero, Balthazar is a seriously dark comedy about the internet, gun culture, school shootings, masculinity and class in America. More specifically, it's about a wealthy teenager from NYC who tries to impress his activist crush by traveling to Texas and befriending a would-be school shooter.
Critics and audiences have compared the film to Taxi Driver, Eddington, and Nightcrawler, with the Wall Street Journal saying it has an “ending worthy of a Martin Scorsese Picture,” and Stephen King saying it “reminds [him] of Mean Streets.”
