Come join us for this intergenerational event! This classic toy made from the original Red Heel hunting socks knit by the Nelson Knitting company dates back to the 1930s when the trademark red heel was added. During the Depression, the classic toy was stitched to give children a toy that would have been stuffed with old hosiery, fabric scraps or even rice. Our handstitched Monkeys are stuffed with polyfil and individualized with ribbon bow ties and pompom hats. This class is open to adults, teens, or adult+child pairs. You will leave this three hour workshop after working together to create your own classic toy and a memory.
