Humanities Week Keynote Address, Presented by the Center for Humanities at Virginia Tech
America’s history is human history. It can be as noble as the Bill of Rights, and as notorious as slavery. It has been as inspiring as Lincoln, as dauntless as Harriet Tubman. America is a beacon in the world. What responsibilities do we bear for being given the blessings of America?
Join us for an address given by Scott Simon, followed by a Q&A session.
Simon's books will be sold by Blacksburg Books in the lobby prior to the event, and Simon will be available for book signing following the Q&A.
Simon is an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning writer and broadcaster, Radio Hall of Fame inductee and host of NPR.
Doors open at 7:00 pm. Admission is free.
