History Meets Mystery at the Library

The Author Spotlight is the Stanislaus Library Foundation’s annual fundraiser benefitting Library programs and materials across 13 branches.

The ticket price of $100 includes wine, heavy hors d’oeuvres and a light dessert. Guests will hear about Library programs and the impact our libraries have on our community.

A Fund-a-Need paddle raise will be held to help the Library add more titles to its Book Club in a Box program, expanding genres and attracting more readers.

We welcome Nancy Econome to discuss writing her books: The Classic Grill, a Tale of Greek Gods and Immigrant Heroes, and her latest book, Finding My Olympia, which blends mystery, historical fiction, and social commentary about the immigrant experience in America in the 1950s. Against the backdrop of anti-immigrant prejudices in a small Central Valley town, the family faces challenges, including a sister who has disappeared, while trying to make it in a new and sometimes confusing world.

Each ticket purchased by December 31, 2026, includes a signed copy of Finding My Olympia.
