Parvis (Benjamin Radjaipour), the son of exiled Iranians, copes with life in his small German hometown by trying out everything and anything from sex dates to raves. After being caught shoplifting, he is sentenced to community service at a refugee shelter where he meets Amon (Eidin Jalali) and his sister Banafshe (Banafshe Hourmazdi), who have fled Iran. As a romantic attraction develops between Parvis and Amon, the trio attempt to leave their worries on the dance floor each night, but each must confront the realization that none of them are truly at home in Germany. Winner of the Teddy Award for films with LGBTQ+ topics at the 2020 Berlin Film Festival, the debut feature from director Faraz Shariat is a tale of intense first love and a sensitive glimpse into the experiences of migrants in Germany.
