Visual
artists are frequently inspired by the performing arts and vice versa. The
Biggs’ current exhibit of abstract paintings by Aina Nergaard-Nammack were
inspired by pieces of music written by composers from the United States, Spain,
and Norway – countries which the artist has, at one time, called home. Join the
Biggs and The Music School of Delaware in a celebration of this
interdisciplinary approach with a violin and piano recital by Music School
faculty members, violinist Amos Fayette and pianist Jennifer Nicole Campbell.
The concert will highlight a selection of compositions that inspired several of
works in Nergaard-Nammack’s exhibit. Discussion of the historical and artistic
significance of the pieces will also be offered by the performers. Wine and
light hors d'oeuvres are included in the event.
Doors will open at 6 pm for visitors to browse the exhibition and registration is required.
Members are invited to bring up to 2 "future members" as guests, provided they register these additional guests.
