The Capitol Theater is excited to announce the return of Revel in Red to start the theater's 14th year of providing Burlington and surrounding communities with quality programming. Revel in Red has entertained our community over the past five years performing to audiences at Heritage Days, Crime Stoppers, The Summer Music Series on the river and the Capitol Theater. This year’s performance will be another great night of classic rock music but it will also be a night to remember long time Revel in Red musician their bassist Pete Ramsey that lost his life this past summer in a tragic accident, leaving his wife, two children and his brothers in the band. The January performance will provide our community the opportunity to commemorate the legacy of Pete Ramsey as a musician and great human being that always rocked on stage but was willing to take time for those requesting it and a pleasure to work with. The Capitol will accept good will donations for his family night of show.

The next generation of country music royalty, Tayla Lynn (granddaughter of Loretta Lynn) and Tre Twitty (grandson of Conway Twitty), bring the legacy of their iconic grandparents to life with heartfelt storytelling and classic songs. Performing together as Twitty & Lynn for five years, the duo has built a dedicated audience and caught the attention of Nashville along the way. Who can really be prepared to hear "Take Five" by a Brubeck...live! But...we will be as Dave Brubeck's sons and their fellow artist brothers chase away the years while the audience enjoys one of the most iconic jazz pieces of all time - Take Five. Immersed in music and jazz since they were quite young, Chris once noted that out of the six siblings, four are musicians "with pretty big careers. Must have been something in the water..." Chris Brubeck continues the legacy of his father. His two bands, this one and Triple Play which performed in BCM's 2007 series. They have participated in all the major jazz festivals from coast to coast...Newport, Montreal, Monterey and Playboy with Chris being known for doing all the arrangements, composing and doing charts for orchestras. That water had some kind of energy that lives on today!
