In 1947, Jackie Robinson (played by the late Chadwick Boseman) becomes the first African-American to play in Major League Baseball in the modern era when he was signed by the Brooklyn Dodgers and faces considerable racism in the process.

During World War II, sisters Dottie (played by Geena Davis) and Kit (played by Lori Petty) join the first female professional baseball league and struggle to help it succeed amid their own growing rivalry.

"The Pursuit: A Jackson Holliday Story," is an original documentary released by the Baltimore Orioles that chronicles the early life and baseball journey of Jackson Holliday. There will be a post-screening panel, entitled “What It Takes: Making (and staying in) The Show,” with Player Development representatives from the Baltimore Orioles front office and moderated by Dan Connolly.

A middle-aged unknown (played by Robert Redford) comes seemingly out of nowhere to become a legendary baseball player with almost supernatural talent.
