Granite State Ringers
In February 2007, Joan Fossum and Mary Divers organized the Granite State Ringers (GSR), New Hampshire's only elite handbell choir.
Their vision was to offer committed handbell musicians the opportunity to learn and perform challenging music for audiences all over New Hampshire.
Since then, GSR has expanded its mission to include offering education programs for youth and adults and using its talents to support local and international groups in need, from the NH Food Bank to the Ukrainian Red Cross.
We rehearse 2-3 times a month in our new studio in Concord, coming from communities throughout New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts. Many GSR members direct or ring in their church bell choirs or small handbell ensembles, as well.
We perform on five octaves of Malmark handbells, six octaves of Malmark handchimes, and four octaves of Schulmerich Handbells. We are especially proud to have world-premiered new pieces by some of the handbell world’s most beloved composers.

The Man Who Invented Christmas
In 1843, despite the fact that Dickens is a successful writer, the failure of his latest book puts his career at a crossroads, until the moment when, struggling with inspiration and confronting reality with his childhood memories, a new character is born in the depths of his troubled mind; an old, lonely, embittered man, so vivid, so human, that a whole world grows around him, a story so inspiring that changed the meaning of Christmas forever.

Exhibition on Screen: Hopper: An American Love Story
Short of hanging the painting on your living room wall, Phil Grabsky’s popular Exhibition on Screen series may be the best way to spend quality time with a favourite artist. At least, that’s what it feels like as we’re immersed in the infinitely evocative oils of Edward Hopper, a poet with a paintbrush. The film draws on leading experts and curators, Hopper’s diaries and letters, but of course, the best reason to watch it is to bathe in close-ups of superb art.
