To create an inclusive vision for the future of the Biggs, the museum is inviting scholars in various fields to examine the collecting, exhibiting, and programmatic practices of the museum. The goal is for these scholars to reflect their own fields into the museum so that the Biggs can make concrete plans for inclusivity and representation in the future. This day long symposium with include scholars in the fields of African American history, Native peoples’ histories, Asian American history, women’s studies, queer theory, and disability studies.
