Party like Poe at this kickoff to the first-ever Edgar Allan Poe-themed event and con on the West Coast. The party begins with a delicious Poe-themed appetizer and dessert buffet. Ticket includes your choice of either a ‘Black Raven’ cocktail (must be over 21) or ‘Annabel Lee’ mocktail – both recipes concocted for this special event.
The evening includes “Eddie Allan’s Amusing, Ingenious Brainteaser Trivia” game, sweet and haunting Poe-themed songs by MJC’s Concert Choir directed by Tiffany Baxter, and a souvenir photo op with Edgar Allan Poe’s tombstone—if you dare. .
There will be a special showing of Roger Corman’s 1963 camp classic movie ‘The Raven’ starring Vincent Price, Peter Lorre, and Jack Nicholson! Fun & friendly costumes lavishly admired but not required. .
