Unstoppable tells the remarkable true story of Anthony Robles, a determined wrestler born with one leg, who overcame myriad personal challenges through the unwavering support of his mother, coaches, and teammates to become a national champion. With his sights set on joining the University of Iowa’s distinguished wrestling program, a young Robles (Jharrel Jerome, PFF25’s Moonlight) is hit with disappointment as other offers fail to materialize and Iowa zeroes in on scouting one of his toughest opponents. Forced to pivot, he enters the competitive terrain of Arizona State, but the path to a roster spot with the Sun Devils is anything but easy as he struggles to earn the confidence of the head coach. Meanwhile, his home life collapses as his abusive stepfather leaves the family in financial ruin, further complicating the road ahead. Yet, armed with an unbreakable will, Anthony and his mother Judy (Jennifer Lopez) work tirelessly to knock down the physical and financial obstacles in their way, transforming the life of their family and inspiring an entire generation. Featuring excellent supporting performances from Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, and Don Cheadle, Unstoppable is a rousing and deeply moving underdog tale.
