WALTER HILL | USA | 1984 | 93 MIN | ENGLISH | 35MM

Fresh off his success with 48 Hrs., legendary genre director Walter Hill presents a vision of a 1950s-esque dystopian future where rockers, bikers, and scummy concert promoters meet on the rainy, industrial streets of a fictional district known as “another time, another place.” When rock singer Ellen Aim (Diane Lane) is kidnapped by The Bombers, a violent biker gang led by the vicious Raven Shaddock (Willem Dafoe), her mercenary ex-boyfriend, Tom Cody (Michael Paré), is hired by her manager and new beau, Billy Fish (Rick Moranis), to get her back. But when The Bombers come face to face with Cody, no one is safe. Turning 40 this year, this cult classic oozes with cool, between the neo-noir atmosphere, the sultry performances, and the soundtrack anchored by tunes from hitmaker and Meat Loaf collaborator Jim Steinman. Come dressed as your favorite character and sing and dance along to hits like “Nowhere Fast,” “I Can Dream About You,” and “Tonight Is What It Means to Be Young.” Presented in 35mm.

Cast: Michael Paré, Diane Lane, Rick Moranis, Amy Madigan
