On a long drive from LA to Iowa, fledgling photographer Clare (Kristine Froseth) has an off-putting run-in with a creepy gas station attendant (Max Mattern) at a remote desert outpost. When she blows a tire and suffers a head injury, Clare has no choice but to stagger back to the station for help, where the attendant acts even stranger than before. Desperate for anyone else to provide assistance in this eerily depopulated town, Clare wanders away from the station but finds herself back at her car again. No matter which way she walks, she keeps encountering the same odd sights and always ends up back at her broken-down car. As night sets in, Clare worries that she may never escape the loop she’s stuck in. Director Shannon Triplett’s inventive first feature is a nail-biting mystery filled with twists and pitch-perfect performances. As the layers peel back on the story, this tightly constructed puzzle box will have you guessing until the very last frame.
Cast: Kristine Froseth, Frances Fisher, Beau Bridges, Ryan Hurst
