Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr

The Park Theatre is pleased to host the 2025 Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr Community Celebration. All are welcome and admission is free.
The family-friendly event will include music by the Jaffrey Grade School Chorus, student presentations, and other features. Commemorating the 60-year anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, special guest Ali Sekou will share his inspiring journey to citizenship and the right to vote. Ali Sekou grew up in a small village in Niger, immigrated to Concord NH, learned English, went on to higher education, and made history as the first New American, first African American, and first Muslim to be elected to the Concord City Council. A reception follows the program.

Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr 2025 is supported by contributions from the Rindge Woman’s Club, Walpole Savings Bank, M&T Bank, C&S Wholesale Grocers, and the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation’s Putnam Foundation.

The Jaffrey-Rindge MLK Day commemoration brings people together to celebrate shared positive values in ways that lift the spirit, enrich understanding of human experience, and sustain a hopeful outlook.
