The Department of Ethnic Studies at Stanislaus State University invites everyone to join us for our 9th Annual Indigenous Peoples Day event on October 14, 2025. This year’s theme is “Planting Seeds of Resistance," and the event will feature a keynote speaker and a live musical performance by Pomo musician and San Francisco State University lecturer Paul Steward at the State Theatre in Modesto. We welcome all to celebrate Native American cultural survivance and community solidarity with us at this event, which is entirely free and open to the public.
