In July of 1973 Michael Lingg, Bruce Johnson, and Patrick Durr got together “to play a little music for the summer.” Fifty-three years later the trio is celebrating their musical journey with a Farewell Concert. Home Grown remains focused on acoustic instruments, tight harmonies, and performing music of various decades and styles. Their original songs reflect the energy and positive attitudes that have transformed the three friends into three musical brothers.
Home Grown has performed in intimate nightclubs, large outdoor concerts, hundreds of local weddings, and were honored to represent Modesto playing music twice for their sister city in Kurume, Japan. The Home Grown song “You Can Fly” was the soundtrack for the grand prize-winning City Video competition sponsored by the Arts & Entertainment Network.
