ALEXANDER ULLOM | UNITED STATES | 2025 | 87 MIN | ENGLISH
After piling into a Jeep Cherokee for a food run, four recent college graduates — Fisher, Day, James, and Tyler — miss their turn. Or did they? Stuck on a seemingly endless stretch of road with no turns and the same scenery in every direction, the band of friends quickly realizes that getting out of the car is also a very, very dangerous idea. Days come and go, basic bodily needs have vanished, and the gang’s time loop carries relentlessly on, forcing them to find ways to cope. Fisher and Day come up with a regimented schedule to maintain some semblance of normality, while James and Tyler silently brood and view the limitless road trip with bitter hostility. Building a captivating narrative that never feels forced or repetitive, writer/director Alex Ullom’s debut feature is a perpetually compelling, existential thinkpiece playing with horror tropes to tell a much more touching story about friendship and resilience.
