Couldn’t make it to the Finale Screening? Come experience EVERY MOMENT of this year's Modesto 48 Hour Film Competition at the Modesto 48 Hour Film Encore!
The Encore Screening is a special two-hour showcase featuring the all 67 films made for this year’s competition, spread across six hours of programming. These films were created by some of the most talented and passionate filmmakers in the Modesto area and were all written, filmed, and edited in just 48 hours.
Films are screened in blocks, with each block beginning on the hour and a five to ten minute intermission inbetween. The final two blocks are full one-hour programs, separated by a 15 minute intermission. Together, they will feature the top 24 films of the competition. This screening will be presented without a host or awards ceremony.
Your ticket gets you access to the full six hours of programming. We encourage you to come and go as you please, and intermissions are the perfect time to step out and back in; stay for one block, or come back after lunch!

The State Theatre of Modesto’s 48 Hour Film Competition is a local competition that has been operated by ReTold Productions since 2019. We have seen over 500 films created for our competition over the years and have awarded over $40,000 in cash prizes! We are proud to be a part of the local filmmaking scene and hope to continue to support filmmakers of all skill levels.
