Our final Hamptons Jazz Fest concert of the summer brings us The Meg Okura Quintet featuring Sam Newsome. The Meg Okura Quintet is led by Tokyo-born, New York–based violinist and composer Meg Okura, a Juilliard-trained, Grammy-nominated artist known for blending classical technique with jazz improvisation and global influences. She has performed with artists including Michael Brecker, Lee Konitz, and David Bowie, and appeared at venues such as Birdland, Blue Note, and Jazz at Lincoln Center.
