You Can Call Me Bill

Featured during Monadnock Comic Con 2024 Captain Kirk. T.J. Hooker. Denny Crane. Big Giant Head. Alexander the Great. Henry V. Priceline’s Negotiator. These are but a handful of the innumerable masks worn by William Shatner over seven extraordinary decades onstage and in front of the camera. A peerless maverick thespian, electrifying performer, and international cultural treasure, Bill (as he prefers to be called), now 91 years young, is the living embodiment of his classic line “to boldly go where no man has gone before.” In unprecedented fashion, You Can Call Me Bill strips away all the masks he has worn to embody countless characters, revealing the man behind it all.

Exhibiton on Screen: The Artist’s Garden: American Impressionism

Taking its lead from French artists like Renoir and Monet, the American impressionist movement followed its own path which over a forty-year period reveals as much about America as a nation as it does about its art as a creative power-house. It’s a story closely tied to a love of gardens and a desire to preserve nature in a rapidly urbanizing nation. Travelling to studios, gardens and iconic locations throughout the United States, UK and France, this mesmerising film is a feast for the eyes. The Artist’s Garden: American Impressionism features the sell-out exhibition The Artist’s Garden: American Impressionism and the Garden Movement, 1887–1920 that began at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and ended at the Florence Griswold Museum, Old Lyme, Connecticut.

The Grateful Dads

The Grateful Dads of Jaffrey are just that, a small group of dads in Jaffrey, New Hampshire who are thankful to play music for friends, family, and the community of the Monadnock region. Although the Grateful Dads of Jaffrey have been known to bring in a number of other guests to perform with them, the main group consists of Brian Castiglioni on lead guitar and vocals, Kevin Lennon on rhythm guitar and vocals, and Hutch Hutchinson on rhythm guitar, tenor banjo, banjolele, bones, bodhran, and vocals. Individually, the “Dads” have decades of experience performing in pubs and clubs, as well as entertaining their children.
