It is hard to find such delightful movies as The Kid. It is a silent movie with a wonderful blend of humor and drama so rich and beautiful, it’s beyond words! This was Chaplin's first feature film, and the boy who played "the Kid", Jackie Coogan, was the first child star of the silent era. As an adult, Coogan played Uncle Fester in 1960s TV series The Addams Family.
