The Story of Silent Screen Siren Barbara La Marr: Old Town Music Hall is thrilled to present actress-author Sherri Snyder in a one-woman show portraying silent screen actress Barbara La Marr, who appeared in 27 films between 1920 and 1926. The show is part performance, and part lecture, spotlighting La Marr's "banishment" from Los Angeles at age seventeen for being "too beautiful". Her notable careers as a dancer, vaudevillian, screenwriter and actress, her oftentimes scandalous life and tragic death at age twenty-nine are featured in clips from La Marr's films and photos from her life. Sherri Snyder is the author of the book "Barbara La Marr: The Girl Who was Too Beautiful for Hollywood".
