Join us on June 16th at 7pm for this FREE virtual program. Arizona politics is often in the national news and debate, and in 1976, Arizona put forward its own presidential candidate, Mo Udall. Journal of Arizona History author, Patrick Andelic, will focus on how Udall was instrumental in recruiting new members of the Democratic Party, upper-income liberal suburbanites. While Udall was unsuccessful in his presidential bid his campaign opened up new avenues of political participation.
This program is the third in our eight-part “Ask the Author” series, funded in part by an Arizona Humanities grant.
