Join us and ASU Professor Emeritus David Berman at the Arizona Heritage Center as we explore the life and career of one of Arizona’s most colorful politicians, Governor George Hunt. Hunt was president of the convention that produced the state’s first and only constitution, and became the state’s first governor, leading through several terms in the adoption of various progressive reforms and in the fight for Arizona’s right for water from the Colorado River. Does not include museum admission.

David Berman is a professor emeritus of political science at Arizona State University. He is the author of several books and articles on Arizona and the West, among which is a book on George Hunt, with the University of Arizona Press.

 

The Arizona Heritage Center is located at 1300 N College Ave in Tempe, Arizona and has ample free parking.
