David Wentworth Lazaroff has served as a naturalist for the National Park Service, and later as an environmental education specialist for Coronado National Forest. He is a founder of the Sabino Canyon Volunteer Naturalists, an organization that has informed people of all ages about the canyon for more than forty years. David's latest book, Picturing Sabino, is published by the University of Arizona Press in its Southwest Center Series. It was chosen by the Pima County Public Library as one of the 2024 Southwest Books of the Year. David and his wife, Cherie, have been members of the Arizona Historical Society for many years.
