Join the Arizona Historical Society and Dr. Judy Nolte Temple for an installment of the Arizona Road Trip: Route 66 and Beyond series.
Ride along with early Arizona woman Mim Walsh, passenger in a series of auto mishaps: being caught in a monsoon-flooded wash; getting mired in mud while trying to see the Grand Canyon; driving without headlights during war-time blackouts. Set in the tradition of women’s travel diaries, this webinar will explore the gap between the ideal of the open road—and the greasy, muddy reality of early auto travel in the West.
